Sago farali kheer

  • ½cup, Small Sago
  • ½litre, Full cream milk 
  • ½cup, Sugar
  • few, Pistachios 
  • few, Rose petals dried


  • Wash small sago with water and keep aside for half an hour.
  • Boil milk in a heavy bottom pan and add sago in it.
  • Stir continuously till sago becomes transparent.
  • Sago will absorb the milk. Then gradually add sugar.
  • Switch off the flame and garnish it with pistachios and rose petals.


1. I have used small sago. If using big sago then soak it overnight or more than 3 hours. 2. Stir continuously to avoid sago from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
