Ingredients

  • 1 bowl suji
  • 1/2 bowl curd
  • 1/2 bowl water
  • 1/2 tsp salt or as per taste
  • 1 onion
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 capsicum
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 Green chilli
  • 4-6 curry leaves
  • 1 "piece ginger
  • as per taste salt to taste for topping
  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Cooking Oil

Instructions

  • Wash, peel and chop the vegetable toppings by taking 1 onion, ½ capsicum and 1 tomato. Add 2 tbsp coriander, 1 inch ginger, 1 chilli, few curry leaves and ¼ tsp salt. Mix well making sure everything is well combined.
  • In a large bowl take 1 cup rava, ½ cup curd and ¾ tsp salt. Mix well making sure the curd is combined well. Now add ½ cup water and mix well adjusting consistency. Keep aside for 20 minutes or until the rava absorbs well. After 20 minutes check for consistency add more water if required.
  • Now heat a griddle. Grease it with few drops of cooking Oil and now pour the rava batter on it into small uttapam. Top with a tbsp of prepared toppings and press gently. Sprinkle red chilli powder over it. Pour 1 tsp oil around the uttapam
  • Cover and cook for 2 minutes or until the base is cooked well. Flip over and cook both sides.
  • Serve hot instant rava uttapam with tomato sauce or coconut chutney.
