Ingredients

  • 4+1/2 tbsp Ghee
  • 8-10 Cashew nuts
  • 1 tbsp Raisins
  • 1 cup Sooji
  • 2 cup Sugar
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/4 tsp Orange food colouring
  • as required Saffron (kesar)
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 2 tsp Cardamom powder

Instructions

  • Add ghee, cashew nuts and raisins to a heated pan. Roast them until are golden brown in colour.keep them aside. To the same pan,add ghee and suji roast for 10 minutes on low flame/ until light brown in colour.keep it aside.
  • To a pot,add water and let it boil. Then add the food colour. This is optional. Add in the roasted suji and cook until it thickens and add saffron. mix well and add ghee. then add oil. mix well and cook again
  • Add sugar only after the Suji gets cooked completely. mix and cook Until sugar melts fully and the mixture is thickened.
  • Next add the cardamom powder, roasted cashew and raisins. Add ghee again and give it all a quick mix.
  • Turn off the flame and serve suji halwa ❤️😋 yummy and tasty rava kesari hot.
