Ingredients

  • 2 cup wheat flour
  • 3 tbsp Semolina
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted Ghee
  • as required Oil for frying
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • as required Water

Instructions

  • Grind semolina + sugar into fine powder, in mixing bowl add flour + salt + fine powder + ghee and knead dough. Add water as required, we need a semi soft dough. Cover for 10 minutes.
  • Cut the dough into two equal parts and start rolling, roll out a thick layer.
  • Now cut into both horizontally and vertically to get square shapes.
  • In moderately heated oil add the pieces and deep fry till golden brown.
  • Fry well, it should turn crisp.
  • Shakkar Paare is ready to serve.
