- Assemble all ingredients
- Chop Almonds and crush Cardamom.
- Fry cashews till golden brown and keep aside.
- In moderately heated pan add 2 tbsp ghee, add flattened rice and fry for 2-3 minutes till slight golden brown.
- In pan add 1 tsp melted ghee, then add already boiled milk, add milk powder and mix very nicely. Now switch on flame and simmer milk for 2-3 minutes.
- Add cardamom and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Now add poha / flattened rice and mix well. Cook for 6 - 7 minutes under medium flame, we need to cook flattened rice.
- Now add sugar + dry fruits and cook for 3-4 minutes under medium flame.
- Simmer for 2 minutes under low flame. Consistency should be on the thinner side as after cooling flattened rice will soak milk and turn thick.
- Now Poha Kheer is ready.
- Serve after 1 - 2 hour, garnish with cashews or any dry fruits.
- Either serve chilled or at room temperature.
