Ingredients

  • 200 gms/ 1 cup - whole wheat flour
  • 1 bunch spinach/ palak
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2-3 tablespoons oil
  • As required Water to knead the dough

Instructions

  • Blanch palak / spinach in water. Strain the water, allow it to cool and make a puree.
  • Mix whole wheat flour, spinach puree, turmeric powder, salt. Sprinkle water and knead a soft dough. Rest the dough for 10 minutes.
  • Divide the dough in medium size marble balls. You will get 8-9 balls. Heat a tawa / pan.
  • Dust some flour roll the spinach balls to make a roti with the help of rolling pin. Not too thick / too thin.
  • Cook on medium heat. Once cooked flip the spinach roti. Let it cook on both sides by adding ghee / oil and cook well.
  • Once cooked on both sides with oil/ ghee, the spinach roti / palak ki roti is ready to serve.
