- In a kadhai, over low flame, heat the sesame oil. Add sesame seeds and chillies. Stir-fry till the seeds puff up a bit. Turn off the heat, and add tamarind and turmeric. Grind with some water and salt till it is a thick paste. In a kadai, heat the oil. Add mustard seeds and wait till they crackle. Add cumin seeds and split red chillies, and stir-fry for a few seconds till they start to change colour. Turn off the heat and add torn curry leaves to the tempering. Mix well and add to the Nuvvula Pachadi.
