- Soak the basmati rice for 15 mints. Heat ghee in pressure cooker. Add bay leaves, star anise, cinnamon,cardomom,cloves & cashews saute till brown. Add onion & ggrlic paste cook till the smell disappear & oil separates. Now add tomatoes, mushroom, turmeric powder, chilli powder, Biryani masala,salt& mix well. Add soaked rice& mix gently.Reduce flame to low medium. Add water & mix check for seasoning. Close the lid & put flame to medium high,wait for steam Cook for 2 whistle.
