Moong dal Halwa

Ingredients

  • 1 cup moong dal
  • 1 tbsp rava
  • 1 tbsp besan
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup ghee
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1-2 tbsp chopped dry fruits
  • Few strands saffron

Instructions

  • Wash and soak the moong dal for an hour. Grind into a smooth paste. Heat ghee in kadhai. Add rava and besan till roasted. Now add smoothed moong dal paste and roast until done.
  • Add 2 glasses water and saffron, allow to cook. When the water is completely evaporated add sugar. Mix well.
  • Let it completely evaporate. When dry add cardamon powder and dry fruits.

Notes/Tips

Remove it in a serving bowl and enjoy!
