Matar Ka jhol

  • 2 cup boil Green peas
  • 1 tsp Ginger green chilli paste
  • 1 cup Tomato puree
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder, 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder, 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tsp Oil ,1/2 tsp Salt/as needed


  • Heat oil in a pan, then Add cumin seeds to crackle, then add ginger green chilli paste and all dry spices and soute for few seconds on low flame.
  • Add tomato puree and mix well and saute till oil leaves from tomato puree, then add green peas and salt and saute for 2 - 3 minutes.
  • Add one cup of water and cover it and cook for 5 minutes on low flame. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves Matar ka jhol is ready to eat. Serve with aloo paratha, Poori and roti.
