  • 2 piece mango
  • 1/2 bowl masoor dal
  • 1/2 tsp haldi powder
  • 1inch ginger (crushed)
  • 1 tsp panchphoron
  • 1 green chilli (chopped)
  • as per taste Salt
  • as needed Oil

Instructions

  • First wash masoor dal twice and drain the water. Keep aside. In a cooker add 1 glass of water then add dal close the lid and wait for 3 whistles. Once it is done. Then Keep aside...
  • In a kadai heat oil. Add panchphoron, 1 dry red chilli and mango pieces. Saute it for few minutes. Then add cooked dal. In that add haldi powder, crushed ginger, salt, chopped green chilli...
  • Mixed well and boil the dal for 5 minutes. Till the mango is become tender. Add sugar. It is optional...But I like to add sugar.. Sour and sweet is a nice combination. The dal will be very tasty...
  • Once it is done..transfer to a beautiful glass bowl..Garnish with fresh coriander leaves...

Notes/Tips

Then ready to serve..mango dal with steam rice.....and papad.....
