Ingredients

  • Handva Mixture - 3cup Rice
  • 1cup Urid dal
  • handful chana dal
  • All Dals dry powder mixture can be stored
  • 1 cup curd or Butter milk or lemon
  • Grated vegetables carrot, Bottle guard, ground nut
  • Onion
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Cummins seeds
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp white sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilly powder
  • 1 tbs oil

Instructions

  • First of all take 2 cup dry Handva Mixture soak them in curd/butter milk /one lemon and some water overnight
  • Now next morning Grate the vegetables as per your choice
  • Add all spices to the mixture and spread the tadka of mustard, Cumin, Sesame seeds and mix them well and add pinch of baking soda to the mixture.
  • Add some chopped coriander leaves and mix them well
  • Now you can make this as pan cake as well as in Appam stand too
  • Grease the stand and pour 1tsp of the batter in each and keep the stand and cook them for about 5-10 minutes by flipping both the sides.
  • Do serve them with Chutneys, ketchup and your beverage
