Ingredients

  • 200 grams( Ginger - peeled and cut into slices)
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/2 tsp Lemon juice /citric acid
  • 1/4 cup Powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Pressure cook ginger pieces with 11/2 cup water for 10 min.on low flame after first whistle.Let it cool. Strain it.You can use ginger water for vegetables.We need the ginger pieces.
  • For the syrup - Heat water and sugar in a pan.Keep on stirring until sugar dissolves.Add lemon juice and ginger pieces.Cook it till you get one string consistency.Switch off the gas.Leave it over night.
  • Next again cook it till you get 2 string consistency.Switch off the gas.Let it cool.Strain it.
  • Take powdered sugar in a plate.Coat all the ginger pieces with powdered sugar.
  • Your delicious ginger candy is ready to eat.Enjoy the taste !
