- Soak chickpeas overnight with enough water and pinch of baking soda.Next day drain water and rinse well.Roast garlic.Grind to a coarse paste alongwith chopped coriander, onion,roasted garlic,red chilli powder, cumin powder,black pepper powder, salt to taste,2 tbsp olive oil and baking powder.
- Add juice of 1 lemon.Add bread crumbs and chickpea flour for binding.Lastly sprinkle sesame seeds and knead to form a dough.Refrigerate for an hour.
- Smear oil in palm and shape into round balls or patties. Again refrigerate for half hour.Heat sufficient oil in a pan and deep fry falafel till golden brown.Serve with hummus, or any other dip.
