  • Milk powder
  • Maida
  • Ghee
  • Curd
  • Milk
  • Baking soda
  • Ghee
  • Castor sugar
  • Lemon
  • Sugar
  • Water
  • Rose essence
  • Saffron

Instructions

  • In a deep cooking vessel add sugar and water,place on low flame. Let boil till sugar melts When the syrup is a bit thick add rose essence,lemon juice and saffron strands.Switch of the flame. In a bowl add milk powder, maida, yogurt,soda,1 tesp ghee and mix it Add milk as required to knead it to a soft dough. Make equal sized balls. Heat ghee in a deep cooking pan ,on low flame. Add the prepared jamun balls in batches and fry till golden brown. Remove and drop in the sugar syrup Let soak for 1/2 an hour. Remove only the jamuns, drain the syrup. Roll on castor sugar. Dry gulab jamuns are ready.
