Ingredients

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1 n 1/2 cups mixed Daal ( toor, Udad, moong)
  • 2 onions
  • 1 tomato
  • 8 cloves garlic
  • 2 tspn Red chili powder
  • 1 tspn coriander powder
  • 1/2 tspn turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tspn garam masala
  • Pinch asafoetida
  • 2 tspn oil
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • Coriander leaves as needed
  • 1 tspn lemon juice
  • Water as required

Instructions

  • Washed n Soaked Daal n rice in warm water for 15 minutes.
  • Boiled rice with added 3 cups of water till cooked completely..
  • Pressure cooked mixed Daal with added salt n turmeric powder.
  • Heat oil in a pan n added cumin seeds n hing..
  • Finely chopped onions n tomatoes n added it in oil n cooked it for few minutes..
  • Added salt n all spices in it n covered it n cooked for few seconds..
  • Added boiled Daal in it n mix well.. adjust contestancy with added water if you want..
  • Added lemon juice n coriander leaves..
  • Served hot with rice.. Enjoy..
