Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup milk, 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1.5 cup dessicated coconut
  • 2 tbsp malai/fresh cream
  • 1.5 cup milk powder
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • as required Few slices of almonds
  • 2 drops green food color

Instructions

  • Heat milk in a pan, add sugar, allow it to dissolve.
  • Now add dessicated coconut and mix. Add cream and milk powder. Add cardamom powder.
  • Keep stirring continuously till the moisture evaporates and the mixture leaves the pan/sides.
  • Divide the mixture into 2. (3/4 and 1/4 the proportion.) Take a tin grease it, place a butter paper and pour the white mixture and set it evenly.
  • In the remaining portion (1/4) add green food color. Mix well. Spread it over the white mixture and press it evenly. Garnish it with some almonds.
