- In a bowl place seive and rinse 1cup poha, transfer the poha in another bowl and to it add rava, buttermilk,1/2 tsp and mix them nicely. Cover & Keep it aside to rest for 25-30 minutes. Make sure poha & rava absorbs the buttermilk properly. Once done to it add chilli ginger paste, chopped coriander, cumin seeds, chilli flakes, seasme seeds, coconut.
- Squeeze and mix well making sure that everything is well combined. Further add rice flour and mix forming a soft dough.
- Grease hand with oil & pinch small ball size portion from dough. Flatten slightly & with help of cookie cutter give the desired shape you want & make a hole in the centre. Repeat the process for entire dough.. Deep fry the wadas in hot oil keeping the flame medium.
- Stirr occasionally and fry until turn golden and crisp. Once done drain off the vada on kitchen towel. Buttermilk vada are ready to serve,enjoy with your preferred choice of chutney/ dip..
