Ingredients

  • 125gm refined flour
  • 3 ripe mashed bananas
  • 40gm granulated sugar
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg(optional)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 50gm brown butter, freshly prepared and cooled
  • 2 tbsp milk, if required
  • ¼ cup yoghurt

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas. In another bowl sift the dry ingredients - refined flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and the spices.
  • In a separate bowl, combine yoghurt, vanilla and sugar till the sugar is dissolved.
  • Then add the freshly prepared and cooled brown butter and mix well.
  • Add the mashed bananas to the mixture and combine properly.
  • Finally add the sifted dry ingredients and fold well using a spatula to avoid any lumps. If the batter is too thick, loosen it using some milk till the right consistency is achieved.
  • Now pour the batter in the doughnut tray. Fill approximately half in individual molds.
  • Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C for 20 – 25 mins or until done.
  • When completely baked, remove from oven and cool for about 20 mins and then de-mold.
  • Enjoy slightly warm with the favorite sauce of your choice.
