- Take a wok,heat oil in it,add mustard seeds,let it splutter,add cumin seeds,green chillies,curry leaves, asafoetida,slitted onions,grated ginger and saute till onions become translucent.
- Add turmeric and red chilli powder and mix Add the diced tomato and saute till tomatoes become mushy.
- Add the leftover brown rice,salt and mix. drizzle some water over it and close with a lid for 5min.
- Switch off the flame,garnish with coriander leaves. Brown phodnicha bhath/rice is ready to serve.
