Apple cake (tea time cake) This is a tasty & healthy cake ,stores well and is very easy to make. This cake can be frozen for up to 3 months. After it is completely cooled, wrap it tightly with aluminum foil or freezer wrap. Thaw overnight on the countertop before serving.

Ingredients

  • 100 gram soft butter
  • 100 gram sugar
  • 2 cup maida
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 cup milk or as per consistency
  • 1/2 baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch nutmeg powder
  • 2 apples (peeled and chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  • Chop the apples and microwave them for 2-3 minutes then toss with lemon juice.
  • Preheat the oven at 200 degree and grease the tin (6 inches)
  • Take all dry ingredients and mix well. In another bowl take butter, sugar and vanilla in a bowl and whip until texture becomes creamy. Then add flour mixture and milk.
  • Add chopped apples and fold very gently. Transfer this mixture into baking tin and bake 35-40 minutes or till fully baked. Cool it snd serve.
  • This cakee is perfect with tea or coffee and especially in this winter season.super tasty and healthy

Notes/Tips

You can add dry berries. They taste very good
