  • Oil 3 teaspoons
  • Mustard seeds 1 teaspoons
  • Chana dal 1 teaspoons
  • Urad dal 1 teaspoons
  • Hing 1 pinch
  • Curry leaves 5-6 units
  • Green chilli 2 units
  • Cashew 6 units
  • Shredded carrots 1/2 cup
  • Peas 2 tablespoons
  • Salt as per taste
  • Rava 1 cup
  • Curd 3/4 cup
  • Water 1/2 cup
  • Coriander 1 tablespoons
  • Eno salt 1/2 teaspoons

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a pan, add chana dal, urad dal, hing and curry leaves.
  • Add chili, cashew and sauté till golden brown.
  • Now add carrot, peas and sauté for few minutes.
  • Add salt. Now add rawa and roast on low flame.
  • Cool the mixture and add curd and water to make a smooth batter.
  • Let it rest for 15 minutes.
  • Grease the idli plates.
  • Just before steaming, add eno salt, mix well and pour in to the idli plates and steam for 15 minutes.
  • Finally serve the instant vegetable idli.
