  • Pista
  • Cardamom powder
  • Saffron
  • Ghee

Instructions

  • Take 1.5 cups of sugar in a vessel and add 1.5 cups of water to it. Stir and cook until sugar dissolves in the water. Take a cup of Gulab Jamun ready-mix in a bowl, add a ¾ cup of water to it and dissolve its lumps. The batter should be of the pouring consistency. Add 15 to 20 saffron strands in the sugar syrup. Add a ½ teaspoon of cardamom powder to it. Boil the sugar syrup for 3 to 4 minutes. After boiling it, remove it from the flame and keep it aside to cool down. Preheat a flat pan and add some clarified butter in it. Add a serving spoon of batter in the hot oil. Fry until it becomes brown from both sides. Drain it out using a ladle and keep aside to cool down. Fry all the Poori likewise. The sugar syrup has become lukewarm. Dip 4 to 5 Poori in the sugar syrup for 4 minutes. Drain it out after 4 minutes and place on a plate. Garnish with some chopped pistachios and sugar syrup. The Malai Poori is ready to be served.
