Ingredients

  • 1.5 liter full fat milk
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 8-10 almonds
  • 8-10 pistachios
  • 3-4 Anjeer
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • 1 teaspoon ghee

Instructions

  • Take a large pan and let it heat for some seconds. Then apply ghee to avoid sticking of milk at the bottom. Take milk in pan and boil it at high flame for 10-15 minutes. Keep stirring milk in between so that it does not stick.
  • After 15 minutes, lower the flame and boil milk for 5-7 minutes at medium flame. Then add sugar and keep stirring milk.
  • After adding sugar, boil milk at high flame for 5-6 minutes. Then add nutmeg powder and lower the flame. Now, let the milk boil heat for 5-7 minutes more at medium flame and keep stirring. Turn off the gas.
  • Now, cut dry fruits into small pieces. Let the milk cool for few minutes and then add chopped dry fruits.
  • After adding dry fruits, stir basundi once and refrigerate it for 3-4 hours. Serve cold basundi with dry fruits.
