Appe is a popular South Indian dish generally served with Coconut Chutney. As winter is here, i thought Of making a different version of Appe using winter veggies, semolina and served with spicy tomato garlic chutney..!!

Ingredients:
1 cup semolina
1 cup curd
1 cup green peas(fresh or frozen)
6-7 peeled garlic cloves
1 inch ginger
4 green chillies
1 cup grated carrots
1/2 cup Fine Chopped onions
1/2 cup fine Chopped carrots
1/2 cup chopped fresh coriander leaves
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp chat masala
1 tsp Amchur powder
1 cup water
1/4 tsp baking soda
Method:
1. Mix the semolina and curd and let it rest for an hour.
2. Make a coarse paste of the fresh green peas, garlic , ginger and green chillies.
3. Mix the green pea mix, chopped onions, carrots and coriander leaves to the semolina batter.
4. One by one Add salt, pepper, chat masala and amchur podwer into it and mix well.
5. Add the water and mix everything and make a semi slurry batter. Let it rest for 20 Mins.
6. Heat oil and brush in the cavities of The appe pan.
7. Add the baking soda to the mixture, pour appe batter into each cavity, cover and cook for 10 min on slow flame.
8. Check the appe and flip them to the other Sides And fry both sides until golden brown and cooked.
9. Serve hot with a chutney of your choice.
