Simple recipes to make in electric kettle

When it comes to cooking, possibilities and methods have no bounds! One such creative cooking method is Kettle cooking. A comfort to hostellers, youngsters living away from home and busy bees, Kettle cooking has been a saving grace for many people.

Rice Meal:

Rice is one of the most famous staples found in the Indian kitchens because it’s easy to cook and extremely versatile. You can now make a rice meal using an electric kettle. First, soak rice for 20 minutes in water and chop all the required vegetables (as per choice) – be it carrot, beans or broccoli. Add all these ingredients including rice in the kettle with some salt to taste. Let it cook for 20 minutes. Additionally, you can also add chopped ginger, fresh chilli and chopped coriander. It’s ready and you can relish your rice meal hot!

Oatmeal bowl:

If you are one of those millennials who prefers having a healthy meal, then a hot bowl of instant oatmeal is the best choice! Just boil water in an electric kettle. Once it’s hot, mix it with the oatmeal in a bowl. Add fruits of your choice – be it apples or bananas. Stir it well and garnish with a few drops of honey and chopped almonds. Your instant oatmeal is ready to eat!

Vegetable Maggi:

Maggi, the only saviour for hostellers, is the easiest option to make and fill your tummy. Turn the electric kettle on and add butter to the kettle. Now mix all the chopped vegetables (as per your choice) – be it carrot, green peas or onion. Let it cook for 1-2 minutes. Now, add one cup of water and add Maggie to it. Close the lid and let it cook for a while. Once the Maggi has softened slightly, add the tastemaker and allow it to cook for another 2-3 minutes. You can now serve Maggi hot and enjoy your lazy evenings.

Soup!

Whip up a hot bowl of soup for yourself without even lighting the flame of the stove. Use an instant soup packet to make a filling bowl of soup for yourself. Take a kettle, empty the content of the soup packet in it, add water and switch on the kettle. Mix well and cook for 4-5 minutes or until done. Enjoy!
