There is nothing better than a chocolate chip cookie that is freshly baked & dunked in hot milk, or maybe you just like to have it without milk. But nonetheless, it’s the perfect dessert snack. It is so perfect that the world decided- Let’s celebrate its existence on 4th August!
YES. 4th of August is international chocolate chip cookie day, and we have the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe for you to celebrate it right! Let’s begin-
Ingredients-
For 15 cookies
- 120 g granulated sugar
- 180 g brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 120 g unsalted butter
- 2 yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 150 g all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- Chocolate chips or chocolate chunks
Method-
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and both brown and white sugar.
- Whisk in the egg and vanilla, beating until light ribbons fall off the whisk and remain for a short while before falling back into the mixture.
- Sift in the flour and baking soda, then fold the mixture with a spatula
- Fold in the chocolate chunks, then chill the dough for at least 2 hours.
- You can also add a hint of coffee or caramel to increase flavours.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll the dough into equal-sized balls.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges have started to barely brown.
- Cool completely before serving.
