Coconut pitha

  • 1 Cup, Rice Flour
  • 1 Cup, Water
  • 1/2 Cup, Milk
  • 3 Tbsp, Ghee
  • 1/4 Tsp, Salt
  • 5-6 Pieces, Cashew
  • 5-6 Pieces, Almond
  • 1 Cup, Grated Coconut
  • 1/2 Cup, Jaggery
  • 1/4 Tsp, Cardamom Powder
  • 1 Drop, Rose Water
  • 1 Drop, Red Food Colour


  • Put coconut stuffing into the flatten rice flour roti and roll it very gently. Put it in a ghee greased steamer and steam it for 5-6 minutes. Take out the pithas and it is now ready to offer Lord Ganesha.


1. Rub a little amout of ghee on both of your palms before make balls from the dough. 2. If rotis are cracking then take a bowl. Pour a little bit of water and oil in it and mix it. Dip your finger in to the oil water mixture and rud on the cracks of rice flour rotis gently. The cracks will disappear. 3. If you don't want to add Food Colour then you can skip it.
